Heather - Linked to our ancestors, sometimes healing means breaking ancestral cycles. The honey of her nectar can nourish us in these changes.
Aspen - The spirit of Aspen guards the portal of transformation. He will ensure we are prepared for what lies ahead of us.
Yew - Traditionally symbolic of rebirth and resurrection, she reminds us that new can come from the old. Ends can also be new beginnings.
Birch - The first burst of energy we need at the beginning is given to us by Birch. A blank canvas to start again.

Elder - The spirit of Elder can transport us to the astral plane where we can receive guidance from our ancestors and guides. Drawing on their collective wisdom.

Life is a journey we become aware of when we are born, but existed before and continues after we pass. We go through many cycles as we grow older, we experience the highs and lows of life, we go through pain and heal from wounds.
The Druids used an alphabet known as “Ogham”, made up of a series of marks across a stave. Each of the 20 traditional letters was associated with a corresponding tree/plant native to their surroundings. Each tree brings its own wisdom and offers guidance and healing. Far deeper than an alphabet, these Oghams could be used for divination and guidance and in a similar way to shamanic practices, journeying with the spirit of these plants can offer healing and guidance.
It’s through my own personal spiritual journeys that I have connected the spirits of the trees and found guidance and healing that has influenced my art. My hope now is to share these so that others might gain their own insights and healing. An offering of guidance and healing to those who seek it. An essence of the natural world, filled with intention and direction.
