20th-23rd March, Spring Equinox.

The hours of light and dark are equal once again, but now we anticipate the increasing hours of daylight. Spring truly takes root in the land, as new life begins to bloom. Many animals have their winter lethargy behind and have started to seek mates. Nature is full of joy, and we can reflect this in how we care for each other.

Eggs often represent the new starts, but snakes reflect the transformations we experience as we shed our skin- our past- as we move forward.

The childish nature of the world is reflected in the God and Goddess as they dance together. They’re only starting to mature and drift towards each other, later to become young lovers. They are coming into their fertility as Spring progresses.
